The world-famous jewelry house FAIDEE brought the "Polar Star" to Russia — this elegant unheated pigeon blood Burmese ruby pendant of 1. 31 ct. complemented with diamond pave and white gold had been created specially for the Arctic Ball.
The rare ruby used for this pendant is from the private collection of the FAIDEE jewellery house, the only company in the world specialised in Burmese rubies of the supreme quality for more then 100 years. A Burmese origin is considered the most quintessential class for rubies as they have an intense, vivid red ‘pigeon’s blood’ colour coupled with resplendent natural fluorescence.
Burmese rubies, according to experts from around the world, have already exceeded diamonds in value and have become the subject of hunting for collectors. And this is not surprising, because the Lunia family, who founded the company FAIDEE in the early 1900s, collected stones for their products for four generations. It all started with Roop Chand Lunia, a gem dealer, who became famous for his ability to choose the best specimens of gems. He was rightly called "the king of Burmese rubies", because he was the owner of one of the most extensive collections of red gems. Thanks to the rich heritage of FAIDEE and the unquenchable desire to continue the work begun by their famous ancestor, the Lunia family today has a unique collection of precious creations with rubies from Burma.
FAIDEE creatively uses these extremely rare and exceptional stones in unique designs that have an essence of ageless beauty. The company fastidiously strives to bring scintillating gemstones and first-class fabrication together in the form of vibrant jewellery, featuring stellar workmanship by both nature and man.
The "Polar Star", kindly provided by the owner of FAIDEE Mr. Ravi Lunia, will be presented as a lot on December 1 as part of the charity Arctic Ball. Funds from the sale will be transferred to support children suffering from oncology.
