"For us, the outgoing year has become a time of new opportunities, ideas and achievements.
This year Arctic World Club launched a venture project "Research and protection of the Arctic biosphere", started the first phase of the project to create an international drifting station.
Our club supports science because we clearly understand the importance of thought and education. We successfully held a large annual Arctic forum, supported major research projects of the Association of polar explorers, and together with Harvard University opened a business training school.
Arctic World Club actively supports sports, because it is the basis of a healthy life. Our hockey team "Arctic Energy" in a brilliant style won one of the strongest tournaments in Russia – the championship of Moscow. This is our sixth successful season in the Night Hockey League. The same year we won the "White nights" hockey tournament. Our racing series Mitjet became the first and only In Russia (!), which was entrusted with the right to race in support of Formula 1. The same year we supported the Russian stage of the DTM. In less than three years, we have successfully integrated into the international Motorsport community, becoming the most media series in Russian Motorsport. A new project is ahead – Mitjet F1 support race in Europe. This year the sea was also favorable to us: our yacht team took bronze in the legendary Rolex Middle Sea Race. Thanks to the outgoing year for inspiring us turns and achievements.
Let each finish bring us the joy of a new start. Let our roads converge in a happy and valiant way, and let all this give us a generous new year 2018!"- completed his speech Sergey Egorov to the applause of the audience.
At the end of the evening the event marshals Tatiana Arno and Artem Korolev announced the amount that was collected — 18 million 494 thousand rubles.
