The opening of the thematic photo exhibition "Vladimir Putin and the Arctic" will be held on December 1, 2018 at the Ritz Carlton Moscow in the framework of the Solemn ceremony of the International ARCTIC AWARDS.
The exposition is based on photographs from the archive of the press service of the Russian President. Some of them are devoted to the trip of Vladimir Putin (at that time – the Prime Minister of the country) to the Arctic, to the land of Franz Joseph, where the Russian leader took part in a scientific expedition studying the habitats of the polar bear, and put on one of them a satellite collar. It was after visiting the Franz Josef land archipelago that Vladimir Putin announced the need to conduct a " spring-cleaning" in Arctic.
The second part of the exposition tells about another Arctic trip of Russian President. A visit to the Museum of the national Park "Russian Arctic", acquaintance with the technology of permafrost study, a visit to the ice cave formed during the melting of the glacier and found a few years ago – the best moments captured by the photo reporters of the presidential pool will be presented to the guests and nominees of the ARCTIC AWARDS.
Let us remind, the Solemn ceremony of the International ARCTIC AWARDS (established by Arctic World Club and Polar explorers association in 2015) will be held at the Ritz Carlton Moscow on December 1, 2018 as part of the Arctic Ball held jointly by the charity fund Winter ball and Arctic World Club.
Media accreditation will be held until November 20, 2018 inclusive on the website - Press Center
