The event is aimed at raising funds for the HSH Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. This year, celebrities such as the Norwegian cyclist Thor Hushovd, former Formula 1 racer Mika Häkkinen and other stars of world sports took part in the 140-km race.
At the end of the event, Sergey Egorov donated 100 rescue collars to the Princess Charlene Foundation, which in recent years has been actively involved in the issue of child safety on the water. The Prince of Monaco and the Arctic World Club president also discussed possible joint charity programs in Africa.
Recall that the first charity bike ride from Saint-Tropez to Monaco took place in 2012. Since then, more than 600,000 euros have been raised for the needs of charity.
Arctic World Club actively supports humanitarian initiatives around the world.
