The last racing weekend was extremely rich for the team Arctic Energy Racing. Our pilots mastered three tracks: Sochi Autodrom, Tour de Corse and Val de Vienne. And during the Mitjet Supertourisme round in France Nerses Isaakyan finished in the third position twice!
After a good start in the first race, Nerses quickly won back his position and burst into the middle of the peloton. Unfortunately, soon after that he made a mistake that put him in the seventh place. During last laps, the pilot managed to bounce back, but by then it was impossible to catch up with the group of leaders. At some moment he was 3 seconds away from the first place, but did not have enough time to overcome it.
The second race was more successful. Having started from the fourth position, after the first lap Isaakyan took hold in the leading trio. Unfortunately, Nerses did not outrun his major competitor, the Vip Challenge pilot Lison, who headed to the final ranking of the race. It is worth mentioning, that Val de Vienne is one of the toughest tracks for the point of view of opportunities for overtakes, basically there is just one opportunity for the overtake after a long straight run that significantly reduces the chance for a successful maneuver. As a result, the Russian pilot showed the second best time. He showed the best lap time in the final race. Isaakyan finished in the third place in that race.
The second round of Trophy Mitjet Series will take place in France again, but at the track Paul Ricard Circuit. Await live broadcasts from Le Castellet on May 4-6!
