The third stage of ADAC GT Masters took place at the Red Bull Ring track, our well-known racer, Ivan Lukashevich, participated for the Phoenix Racing team. He did not manage to win the podium this time: in the first race, Ivan and his partner finished 11th, and in the second, their car had to leave the race.
“The weekend can hardly be called successful, but we see progress compared with the previous stage both for chassis tuning, and my piloting. I must say that I am still trying to figure out how to get a maximum from R8 GT3. The championship is so dense that 0.2 seconds are shared by 10 cars, and there are 25 pilots within a second’s range from the leader. On the one hand, I can be satisfied with the fact that I am within 0.2-0.5 seconds from top GT world pilots after only two races in GT3. On the other hand, if you accept the level of competitiveness here from the start, you begin to think within the categories traditional for the championship. 0.2, or even more, 0.5 per lap – this is a massive gap. No excuses are allowed here, this gap has to be decreased. I have all the opportunities to learn and progress, and I will focus on that again before the next stage!” – stresses Ivan Lukashevich.
